It's a beautiful day here in South Jersey and the Another Delco Guy clan is getting ready for a full day of soccer and baseball with a morning meal at Medport Diner.
We all have our uniforms (and our hair) adjusted just so. Our cooler is packed with between game meals. Distracting activities for Emma are all ready to go for the second baseball game.
We are looking forward to a great day in the beautiful autumn weather. Enjoy your Saturday as well!
It was close for a half, but Amherst College used size and speed to dominate the Ursinus Bears and move on to the Divison III MEN'S BASKETBALL National Championship game 84-58 here in Salem.
The Lord Jeffs were led by Andrew Olson who scored a triple double with 21 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. The Bears were led by John Noonan with 18 points.

I am here on the floor of the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Final Four The pre game show is bout to get under way and then it's Amherst vs. Ursinus followed by Hope against Washington U in the nightcap.
It's been a good day so far since landing where in Dixie. I stopped in Martinsville on the way up and actually got to walk on the track as they set up for next week's NASCAR Sprint Cup race. Here in Salem I helped the folks at D3hoops.com finalize the All-American teams and now we're ready for some live action!
Another Delco Guy is at PHL's F terminal as the pink of dawn brings into focus just how small the plane is that is taking me to Greensboro today. At least it's a jet!
We'll be boarding in a few minutes for the 90 minute flight to North Carolina. From there, it's another 90 minutes in a rental car up to Salem, VA and the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Final Four.
See you on the other side!
John is very excited to be at Family Science Night tonight. About 50 of us, evenly split between parents and kids who are learning about animals tonight. It's a lot of fun watching the kids interact and also good fun catching up with some of the parents.
John will be tired when we get home, but it is worth it!
As I sit here on the way into work (late again), I look to my left and have to smile. Stephen Starr's formerly-trendy Continental Old City is closed up tight this Wednesday morning, recovering for another nightly onslaught of partiers who will cross over from South Jersey tonight.
For now it's dark and quiet, but in 12 hours a barful of 20- somethings will be hoisting $12 speciality cocktails and sharing little plates of wasabi mashed potatoes.
While I have tested the photo post possibilities for my new Samsung SCH-i760 smart phone a few times already, this is my first attempt to use it for an email post. It's a pretty cool little mobile computer, complete with a sliding full QWERTY keyboard, Windows Mobile 6, a 1.3 mp camera and a bunch of other stuff.
The GF hates it. I like it but am not in love yet.
